Objectives of the Exploratory Project
To address the identified gaps and challenges, our project sets forth several broad objectives: |
- From a comprehensive review of current literature, to formulate an updated holistic conceptual framework for parent engagement that considers parents subjective experiences, and that acknowledges the specific challenges encountered in the modern digital and multicultural education context in post-pandemic Portugal.
- To develop and validate a new assessment of parent engagement grounded in the proposed conceptual framework, and with items generated from qualitative interviews of parents and teachers.
- To identify existing practices and challenges to promoting parent education and co-create and test innovative pilot actions, alongside relevant stakeholders, in iterative cycles of innovation and reflections (social labs).
- To formulate and disseminate evidence-based, implementable best practice guidelines for schools, based on the project research findings and proposed conceptual framework.
|
